Nature Crafts with Auntie Miri
Children between the ages 5 and 12: join Auntie Miri for a fun and creative workshop!
Days: 30 June 2025 - 18 July 2025 (your child does not have to attend all days)
Location: Marchmont (Edinburgh)
At the beginning of each session, we will plan our arts projects. We will then head out to the garden, where we will collect flowers, leaves, grasses, snail shells, pine cones, sticks and stones, thereby learning a thing or two about the local plants.
When the weather is nice, we will stay in the garden. If not, we will go back inside.
During the morning session, we will make our work tools such as brushes made from wooden sticks and grasses, paint from plants and spices as well as a flower press and glue. You will then have time to experiment with your new brushes and paint, creating your first natural works of art.
For lunch time, you should bring a packed lunch. Whenever possible, we will eat our lunch in the garden.
In the afternoon, we will create beautiful paintings, window decorations, statues, wind chimes, necklaces and bracelets, jewellery boxes, treasure chests and much more.
You will take all your amazing artwork home at the end of the day.
